The Scarf Series No. 1: Alone

Translation: The cold winds of winter are not as unkind, or harsh, as man's unkindness.

THE STORY:
"I'm sorry, Christene, but it has to be this way," He assured her. He didn't look sorry. He didn't look sorry at all.
Christene felt the tears well up in her eyes, but looked away quickly before he could see. She would NOT give him the pleasure of witnessing what he's done.
"Then good-bye," She whispered.
"Christene..."
"Good-bye."
He sighed, but said nothing else. It was only after his crunching footsteps had faded away that she allowed herself to cry. Here she was, on the supposed "best night of her life", and she was alone.
Utterly. Alone.

This is immediately what I thought of when I drew it

Okay, this one was GOING to be Katara...but then I messed up her face. So, then I decided it would be a girl walking in the mall, but I bent the knees all wrong. So, then she was going to be a cold girl in the wind, but then I messed up her eyes. So, now she's a CRYING girl in the cold wind...all alone
